Danielle R
ABA Director, M.A., BCBA, LBA
Danielle holds a Master of Arts in Special Education from The University of Saint Joseph. With over 15 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Danielle says she loves the puzzle that is human behavior. Being presented a situation, then problem solving for the missing skills and figuring out how to teach them. Her passions are communication—especially AAC devices, social skills and reading skills.
Danielle has worked in various roles at Aspire Living & Learning (formerly the Institute of Professional Practice). She began as a Behavior Therapist providing in-school consultation in Hamden and Stratford, later becoming a BACB supervisee when Aspire opened its first outplacement school. In 2013, Danielle transitioned to a Clinician/BCBA role in school districts and overseeing DDS Home Programs for Children. In 2019, she shifted to Adult Services, taking on the role of Adult Day Program Behavior Analyst, where she supported adults in work placements and day programs.
In 2021, Danielle became the Director of Clinical Services for Adult Services at Aspire, where she oversaw a team of 6 BCBAs and managed services for 150 adults across Connecticut. She also supervised services in 18 group homes, 1 day program, and various community-based placements.
Danielle joined SPGCT in July 2023, after serving as a Clinical Director consultant from December 2022 to March 2023.
Additionally, Danielle has worked as an in-home BCBA for Constellations Health Services and Ascend Autism, and she’s completed specialized training in special education law and assistive technology.
Danielle has been leading parent and staff trainings, however she would love to see these training programs expand even further. She loves providing these sessions, especially to those who don't understand behavior and how Danielle’s team can help.
Outside of work, Danielle loves spending time with her husband and son. She loves going to the beach or pool with them.
A fun fact about Danielle is that she has a large collection of exotic plants! Just like her ABA clients, she loves helping her plants grow and thrive.
