Speech & Occupational Therapy Summer Program

This structured, small-group program helps children develop essential communication, fine motor, listening, and social skills needed for a smooth transition into preschool or kindergarten - through fun, engaging, and play-based activities!

Ideal for children ages 4-6 years old.

Children who may benefit include those looking for support with: 

  • Speech and language development  

  • Fine motor and early writing skills

Children will: 

  • Increase functional communication skills (expressive and receptive language)  

  • Improve early writing and fine motor abilities  

  • Strengthen listening comprehension and attention  

  • Build social skills, including turn-taking, cooperation, and group participation

Speech & Language Development 

  • Expanding vocabulary and sentence structure 

  • Improving articulation and speech clarity  

  • Following directions and answering questions  

  • Narrative skills (storytelling, sequencing)  

 

Occupational Therapy / Writing Readiness 

  • Pencil grasp and control  

  • Pre-writing strokes and letter formation  

  • Hand strength and coordination  

  • Sensory regulation strategies for classroom readiness  

Listening & Attention 

  • Auditory processing through structured activities  

  • Multi-step directions  

  • Group listening routines (circle time, story time)  

 

Socialization 

  • Peer interaction and cooperative play  

  • Turn-taking and sharing  

  • Emotional regulation and problem-solving  

  • Participating in group routines  categies
